Application: 08/831,630, Filing date: 1997-04-09
Indian application No. 805/MAS/97
Novartis Finance Corporation
Impact: on generic production of atazanavir, could have been granted in India despite section 3(d)

Current patent status in India: Was opposed by Indian PLHA groups.
Copy of opposition brief from Lawyer’s Collective.
Indian Patent office has now informed that the patent application was deemed abandoned in India.

2. Bisulfate salt of HIV protease inhibitor
